I DOCUMENT NATURE.
One of my great passions is using the power of photography to tell stories of the natural world. This medium gives me a voice to the creatures, landscapes and causes I care about.

Over the past years, I’ve been recognised with several honours, including being named a finalist for South African Photographer of the Year 2023, the Andrei Stenin Award 2024, and the Kelpforest Award 2024. My work has appeared in leading publications such as the Daily Maverick, where I covered stories ranging from the rabies outbreak in Cape fur seals and the wash-up of a humpback whale in Simon’s Town to in-depth features on marine pollution, wildfires, and an interview with My Octopus Teacher’s Craig Foster. I’ve also contributed underwater features to PADI’s Dive Magazine, including stories from Sodwana, Cape Town, and Mallorca. National Geographic featured a photograph from my ongoing kelp forest work. Beyond journalism, I collaborate with conservation organisations, providing imagery and footage to projects such as WWF South Africa’s Sustainable Seafood Report, the Last Shark documentary, and the Rise from the Cape Flats.
